Moving towards gender-transformative approaches in CSA: A framework for action
One of the current challenges for CSA is to measure and generate evidence on the gender and youth-related opportunities, challenges, and benefits related to specific technologies and practices. CCAFS and partners propose to assess the implications for gender and social inclusion of trade-offs of food security, adaptation and mitigation of CSA, through a common action framework and indicators for design and application. The goal is to better understand sex- and youth-disaggregated adoption profiles for a range of CSA options and strategies by measuring gender and social inclusion impacts and outcomes in different regions. The workshop will assess the results of regional pilot studies implemented in the previous six months, using the Gender and CSA action framework currently in development and revising it based on lessons learned.
